Which Titan Post Driver Is Right for You?

February 1, 2026

Titan makes more than a dozen post driver models. That's a good thing (different jobs call for different tools) but it can make choosing one feel overwhelming. Here's a straightforward breakdown of how our product lines differ and which one fits your situation.

Farm & Home Series: For light-duty and residential use. If you drive posts a few times a year for hobby farming, garden fencing, or property lines in normal soil, the Farm & Home Series is where to start. The PGD2875 at 30 lbs is our lightest gas-powered driver and ideal for occasional use. The PGD1032H is Honda-powered and delivers up to 50% more impact than the standard Farm & Home models, a good choice if your soil is harder than average. None of the Farm & Home drivers are rated for commercial or contractor applications.

Contractor Series: For full-time and commercial work. The PGD2000 and PGD3200 are built for contractors who drive posts daily. Both run Honda GX35 engines and carry a limited lifetime warranty on the hammer. The PGD3200 accommodates posts up to 3 1/8" in diameter and is the workhorse choice for fence crews.

X-Series: For heavy commercial applications and customized setups. The PGD2000X and PGD3200X add a threaded barrel design that lets you customize your configuration. If you want to adapt the driver to your specific workflow or work with a wider range of post diameters, X-Series is the way to go. The PGD3200XPM is the only Titan model capable of driving PostMaster and Lifetime posts, essential if that is your primary material.

Battery-Powered: For zero emissions and maximum portability. The PED1040E runs on two 20V batteries (40V system) and weighs just 25.7 lbs, the lightest driver in the entire lineup. It delivers up to 1,600 beats per minute with no gas, no exhaust, and no pull-start. Perfect for situations where you want clean, quiet operation: near livestock, in enclosed spaces, or just when you are tired of dealing with fuel.

Still not sure? The easiest shortcut: if you drive posts commercially or in hard ground, start with Contractor or X-Series. If it's a personal project in normal soil, Farm & Home will get the job done. And if you hate messing with gas, go battery. Contact us at [email protected] and we will help you pick.
